Matters, clients, invoices, and templates are unlimited on every plan, and the core features (Google Calendar sync, Slack, client portal, reports, automations, directory listing) are included on every plan. Both. A solo advocate can run an entire practice on the free plan. Firms can invite multiple lawyers, assign them to matters with roles (Lead, Junior, Consultant, Observer), and manage everyone from one dashboard. A lawyer can also belong to more than one firm and switch between them.
You enter the hearing date when you add or update a matter. For matters at a supported court, Jursu also keeps the next hearing date up to date automatically. Either way, it emails reminders 1, 3, and 7 days before every hearing to you and any assigned lawyers.
Yes. "Matter" is the standard legal term for any piece of work you handle for a client: a court case, an advisory engagement, a transaction, or general work. In Jursu every matter has its own hearings, tasks, notes, expenses, documents, time logs, deadlines, and invoices.
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and stored on secure servers with automated daily backups. Your matters and clients are visible only to you and the lawyers in your firm, and we never sell data. Passwords are hashed, and repeated login attempts are rate-limited.
Jursu has an Android app (an iPhone app is planned). It's built for use in court with no signal: you can view and edit matters, clients, hearings, tasks, and notes fully offline, and everything syncs automatically when you reconnect. The web app runs in any browser.
Optionally, yes. You can give any client a self-service login to a client portal, where they see their matter's status and upcoming hearing dates without calling your office. You choose which clients get access and can turn it off at any time.
Yes. Jursu can push your hearing dates into Google Calendar and send firm activity notifications to a Slack channel. Both are set up from the Connectors screen inside the app.
